2013 SWALL Annual Meeting
The 2013 SWALL annual meeting, Adapt, Incorporate, Change will be held at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Phoenix, April 4th-6th, 2013.
The program committee, chaired by Caren Luckie, is planning a program that will appeal to members from all types of libraries. Elizabeth Schneider chairs the Local Arrangements Committee.
Registration: The deadline for early registration is March 1st. The early registration cost is $175 for SWALL/AzALL members and $195 for non-SWALL/AzALL members. After March 1st, the rate will be $195/$210.
Grants: SWALL will provide 3 $350 travel grants for SWALL members to attend the conference in Phoenix. The application deadline is Friday, February 15, 2013. For more information and the registration form, see the SWALL grants page.
Opening Luncheon: This year’s opening luncheon will celebrate the 55th anniversary of SWALL and the 30th anniversary of AzALL. If you have any favorite memories of your time in SWALL that you would like to share for this event, please contact Elizabeth Schneider.
Friday Evening Events: This year, on Friday evening it will be make your own special event. Attendees can choose to visit the Phoenix Art Museum (free), participate in First Friday (free), attend a Phoenix Suns game, or take part in a number of other activities.
Tote Bags: In an effort to be green, attendees are asked to bring their own tote bag from a previous AALL or SWALL meeting. The person with the bag from the earliest meeting will win a prize.
