Save the Date for SWALL 2027 – Upskilling Law Librarians: Ensuring Legal Research Success in an AI Landscape
The SWALL Executive Board would like you to save the date for our 2027 Annual Conference hosted by the Westminster Law Library at Sturm College of Law, University of Denver and the William A. Wise Law Library at the University of Colorado Law School!
This year we will be in Denver, Colorado, March 18-20, 2027. More details to come!
Call For Proposals
The Programming Committee is looking for programs that will inspire, impress, and provoke SWALL members. Submissions open on September 17, 2026, and close on October 31, 2026.
Submissions needn’t be explicitly on-theme; the committee welcomes sessions on AI, but is also looking for sessions discussing other legal and library tools you may be using, teaching tips and tricks (not just academic), helping library patrons, hiring and retaining librarians, and anything else you want to share with your colleagues! They want programs that cover a range of interesting and relevant topics, and the committee encourages proposals that appeal to the many types of law librarians and information professionals that make up our broad organization.
Session length options range from “Ignite Talks” (~7 mins), to 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and extensive “Deep Dives” (90 minutes), so there is a format for everyone. With the ability to host two tracks of sessions, the Programming Committee is committed to creating a program that has something for everyone and encourages proposals from every library type (firm, government, and academic law libraries), and for both individual presentations and panels.

Sponsorship Levels

- Swag bag sponsor ($500 + optional in-kind item if desired) – Includes the ability to place an in-kind donation in swag bags, allowing a presence without attending/travel. You may also sponsor the swag bags, generally, without including items in which case a sponsorship note will be included in the bags. (multiple available)
- Bronze $1000 – Vendor table, two registrations. (multiple available)
- Silver $2000 – Breakfast sponsors, includes Bronze benefits and optional 15-minute exclusive demo during one breakfast (2 available).
- Gold $3000 – Thursday or Friday lunch sponsor, includes Bronze benefits and optional 15-20-minute exclusive demo during the designated lunch (2 available).
- Platinum $5000 – Thursday or Friday evening events, includes Bronze benefits and exclusive advertising at designated event with opening remarks. Depending on the event, the possibility of print or swag advertising at cocktail tables and themed menu items if desired (2 available). (Events are still TBD)
